Chemo Cap Ministry |
Carriage House Ministry |
|---|---|
Trinity is very proud of this ministry which was started when a cap was knit for a chemo patient that was losing her hair. The ministry has spread to 29 states, Canada and Australia. Caps and lap blankets are knit and crocheted from fun yarns, leftover yarns and beautiful new yarns by church members, employee groups and prisoners at a state facility. They are made with love and prayers for the patients that will receive them. |

Nearly 30 years ago the Carriage House was turned over to AA an NA to use as a meeting facility. At the present time there are about 20 groups with about 200 people using the facility each week. In the last three years the Carriage House has been painted, new windows installed and structural repairs done. The groups pay rent and the rent is used to pay the utilities and keep the facility clean. It has turned into a great working relationship. |
